Dave Aftandilian Bright-burning doom to build a better tomorrow. Trapped in this urban maze, I run toward freedom. Buildings loom and glower, boxing me in. Words surround me on all sides—screamed, chanted, whispered—trying to tell me what to think and how to be. But in my hand I hold a tiny, guttering flame, and as I grit my teeth and lean into the ill wind, my flame flickers once, then burns strong. Realizing the answer lies in learning to ask my own questions, I close my eyes, and finally find my escape. Favorite track: Capitulation to the Word.

'Representations of the Id' is the debut full-length album of Malaysian progressive sludge/doom act Dionysian. Their music intends to maneuver the listener through examination of the subconscious and instigation of worldly reflection through intricate song structures and atmospheric production that come together to create a powerful and emotional experience for the listener.
